What is your teaching style?
Education is life changing when you connect, challenge and inspire students.
How do you make learning engaging?
Students may be surprised that in an accounting class they will be engaged in active learning! We work in teams and groups to solve problems and report out answers. I bring in my experiences and real-world stories and case studies that relate to our topics.
What should students know about you?
Students should know that I put myself in their place as I prepare for each class. I had a full-time job and a young family as I was worked on my Masters degree, so I fully understand what it means to try to balance it all! I tell my students that no one can take their education away from them and that it is my privilege to be part of their experience here at Carroll.
